Ashton man killed in snowmobile crash
A 51-year-old Ashton man was killed Saturday night when the snowmobile he was driving crashed into a fence post. Bruce Layne Armstrong was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 7:40 p.m.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened near a trailhead at the intersection of Walnut Street and Baker Road.
Armstrong was a long-time employee of Fall River Electric Cooperative and a former Ashton volunteer fireman.
