Man falls through ice on four-wheeler
A Bear Lake County man is recovering after the four-wheeler he was driving fell through the ice on Bear Lake.
It happened late Monday night on the east side of the lake.
Richard Peterson, 69, was out ice fishing when his four wheeler went through the ice.
His wife reported him missing.
Peterson was able to pull himself out and get back to shore
His wife, neighbors and EMTs responded and got him up to their subdivision.
Peterson was taken to Bear Lake Memorial Hospital in Montpelier. He was treated for some hypothermia and kept overnight.
The Bear Lake County Sheriff’s Office was not sure of his condition or if he’s been released.
