Madison inmate commits suicide
The Tri-County Sheriff’s Association has been asked to investigate the death of an inmate in the Madison County Jail on Sunday.
The Sheriff’s Office said jail staff found the unresponsive inmate around 3 p.m. They said first aid was attempted but was unsuccessful. Preliminary investigation determined the incident to be a suicide.
The subject’s name was not released pending notification of relatives.
