Free Admission Day at the Museum of Idaho

Dozens of people waited for doors to open Monday morning to take advantage of Free Admission Day at the Museum of Idaho.

Kids could ride the carousel and take a look at art and history exhibits.

Organizers say Monday’s event is about giving back.

“We are not a sustainable museum, meaning if we continue to operate the way we have, we won’t be here for long, so we’re turning to the community for their support,” said Director of Marketing Britni Storer.

All donations made during the event will go toward the museum’s sustainability/endowment fund.

Free admission day ends at 8 p.m. Monday.
