Chubbuck man charged with possessing stolen firearm

Kory Peterson, 37, of Chubbuck was arrested after a brief standoff in the 4600 block of Ponderosa in Chubbuck at around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Chubbuck Police say Peterson was wanted on an outstanding warrant in Bannock County. He was also charged with possession of a stolen firearm.

Peterson was found sitting in his vehicle, which was parked in a driveway. Police said he initially refused to leave the vehicle.
