Man arrested on lewd conduct charge after friends call deputies
A man was arrested on a felony charge of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16 after his friends notified law enforcement.
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said Marc Allen Hayes, 21, and a 12-year-old girl were Facebook friends. He was also trading texts with her on his friends’ cell phones.
His friends took Hayes to meet the girl early Saturday morning. They later thought better of it and contacted the sheriff’s office at 5:30 a.m, deputies said. Hayes was arrested and booked into the Bonneville County jail at 8:20 a.m.
