Man accused of threatening neighbors with shotgun

An angry man with a shotgun threatened neighbors lighting fireworks late at night, police said.

Officers were called to the 800 block of Singletree in Idaho Falls just before midnight Friday.

They said Dennis D. Lords, 52, got upset about his neighbors lighting fireworks in front of their home and threatened them with a shotgun.

Lords was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.

Police said although Idaho Falls has a noise and disturbing-the-peace ordinance (see http://www.idahofallsidaho.gov/faq/distrurbing-peace.html), those lighting the fireworks were not cited.
