Maverik robbed in Pocatello

Two people robbed the Maverik Country Store on East Alameda in Pocatello on Sunday morning.

Police said Monday that the pair, both males, ordered the clerk to give them money around 5:15 a.m. They took several cartons and packs of cigarettes, several hats off of the display hat rack, and several types of lottery tickets from the lottery dispensing box behind the counter.

“They didn’t take any money,” said Dianne Brush of the Pocatello Police Department. “They got in a hurry to get out of there.”
The suspects left the store in a southwestern direction on Randolph.

One of the suspects had a blue bandana over his nose and mouth and a black hooded sweatshirt over his head. The other suspect had a red hooded sweatshirt with the hood up on his head. His face was uncovered and he was wearing a black sweatshirt over the top of the red hooded sweatshirt. They are possibly Hispanic, police said.

If you have any information on the identity of the suspects, call Pocatello police at (208) 234-6121.
