Man wanted in Fort Hall stabbing

Authorities are looking for a man wanted in connection with a stabbing on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation last week.

The FBI Salt Lake City Division and the Fort Hall Tribal Police Department are looking for Arthur Fred Jr., who is wanted for questioning in the July 13 incident, the FBI said Thursday.

The victim, a man, was treated at a local hospital for stab wounds.

A tribal arrest warrant has been issued for Fred, who is 50 years old, 5’10”, and weighs 240 pounds.

He is considered armed and dangerous. The public is advised not to approach him and to contact authorities with information regarding his whereabouts. The public is asked to report tips to the Fort Hall Tribal Police Department at (208) 238-4000 or the FBI Salt Lake City Division at (801) 579-1400.
