Fire out in Pocatello
A fire burned a home and two sheds on South Second Street in Pocatello Thursday evening.
The fire started just before 5pm behind a house on the 1900 block of South 2nd street between Bengal View Drive and Crescent Drive.
Fire officials say the fire appears to have started in the brush in the back of the property. The fire then spread to two sheds and the adjacent house, damaging all three buildings.
As a precaution, Pocatello Police and fire crews evacuated nearby homes and apartments.
The fire was fully contained by 7:30pm, and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
One man was taken in custody and cited forobstructing justice, Police said he refused their commands to stay away from the fire.
The cause is still under investigation.
