Fire guts Pocatello home

The Pocatello Fire Department was called to 431 N. 14th Ave. for a house fire shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday.

Firemen quickly brought the fire under control.

Although the source of the fire is unknown, firemen said it started in the basement of the home and burned up into the house. They said the interior of the home was completely destroyed, but the structure itself is still standing.

Investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
