Snake River Duck Race Preview

TheSnake River Duck Racehas been a summer event in Idaho Falls the past 23 years. The Idaho Falls Rotary Club organizes the event. The money raised goes toward upgrades to the Idaho Falls greenbelt.

The annual duck race event will take place Saturday, August 10th in Idaho Falls. Speed boats will be on the water beginning at 9 a.m. A professional boat show and water skiing demonstration will follow the boat race. The rubber ducks will be floated down the river at 4 p.m. The public can buy a duck to support the Idaho Falls Rotary Club on Saturday.

The Idaho Falls Rotary club started the event in 1991. Proceeds from the race have exceeded $750,000. The money has been used to pave six miles of trails, build a replica of the Taylor Toll Bridge and add park amenities along the greenbelt.
