Fire continues to burn near Lava Hot Springs

A fire near Lava Hot Springs has burned an estimated 132 acres as of Sunday evening.

The fire is burning northwest of town on BLM land off of Frandsen Road.

It started Friday afternoon when a lightning storm moved through the area.

They have a helicopter, 4 engines and a 20-man crew fighting the fire.

The Eastern Idaho Interagency Fire Center said they don’t know when the fire will be contained or controlled.
