Pocatello man upset with girlfriend accused of igniting car

A Pocatello man faces a third-degree arson charge after he poured gas on a car and lit it on fire, police said.

Gordon Patton Graves Jr., 39, was upset with his girlfriend when he poured gas on another man’s car at 1035 E. Center shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday, according to police. Graves fled the scene in a vehicle that was not his.The vehicle was recovered a few hours later in an alley off 100 Taft.Graves was found a short time later in the 200 block of Taft.

In addition to the arson charge, Graves was cited and released for “depriving the owner.”
