Charity collects suits

Catholic Charities of Idaho collected professional women’s clothing donations Saturday. They collected box after box of blouses, shoes, suits and accessories for their upcoming event.

The charity will host an “Outfitted to Interview” event on Friday, Oct. 4 to allow underemployment and unemployed women to shop their Saturday clothes collection.

The event will also include career building workshops that Catholic Charities of Idaho Regional Director Jason Batalden said will be a perfect match for their professional new look.

“It’s an important event on many different levels but mostly here locally its to provide women with an opportunity to get the skills they need to help them find that better paying or that higher wage job,” said Batalden.

The event will be at Steven-Henager College from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
