Man arrested in road rage incident involving gun

A man was arrested early Wednesday morning after a road rage incident involving a gun, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities said Christian Robertson, 21, of Idaho Falls, was upset with another driver. They were northbound on Ammon Road between First Street and Upland Drive. Deputies said Robertson pulled into the opposite lane of traffic along the other car, pointed a gun at the other driver, then pointed it upward and fired it.

The other driver ducked down in his car, sped up and called law enforcement. Robertson turned around and drove the other direction.

Deputies found Robertson’s vehicle at his home on Kimberly. He was arrested at his home on a charge of felony aggravated assault and booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
