2 arrested after stolen SUV crashes

A traffic accident led to the arrests of two people Sunday night on theft-related charges.

Idaho Falls police were called to the 1400 block of Milligan Road for the accident Sunday night. The driver of the GMC Yukon, identified as Alana R. Litchie, 33, spun out and crashed into a pile of construction material, a witness said.

Litchie and her passenger, Vincent Compton-Dinapoli, 20, left on foot, said police. Officers found both by the river between Pancheri and Broadway.

Police determined the Yukon had been stolen. They also found a stolen air compressor inside. The air compressor was taken from another vehicle parked near Buffalo Wild Wings.

Both were arrested on charges of vehicle burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Litchie was also arrested on charges of driving under the influence, driving without privileges and leaving the scene of an accident.

Compton-Dinapoli was also arrested on a charge of underage consumption of alcohol.

They were booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
