Remains found at reservoir identified

Authorities have identified the remains found at American Falls Reservoir.

The human remains found at the American Falls Reservoir last month belonged to Charles Knipp, of Aberdeen, the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Knipp, then 38, was scheduled to return from a fishing trip in June 2009, but his wife reported that he never came home. His bass boat was later found, undamaged. Divers searching for Knipp failed to find his body.

On Nov. 3, hunters discovered the remains at the reservoir.

Knipp’s next of kin have been notified.
