JONES, Oklahoma (KOCO) — An Oklahoma officer’s quick thinking helped save a man’s life after he had a stroke while driving.

Jones Police Department officials released body camera video of the encounter.

“So, what’s going on?” the Jones officer asked.

“I had a stroke a couple of weeks ago, and I lost my way,” the man replied.

The officer pulled the man over after he nearly hit her patrol car.

“I’m worried about you driving,” she said. “The reason I honked at you is because you were in the middle lanes.”

At first, the officer just thought the man was drunk.

“My vision is not excellent enough to drive,” the man said.

But after noticing something was wrong, the officer called for medical help.

“I’m not feeling too well,” the man told the officer.

Medical staff later discovered the man was in critical condition and needed to go straight to a hospital.
