Nampa Christian shuts down Bear Lake in 5 innings

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - All Nampa Christian needed was five innings to beat Bear Lake 12-2 in the opening round of the 2A State baseball tournament.

Brent Clapier finished with four RBI on two hits for the Trojans. A three run bottom of the fifth inning triggered the mercy rule at Halliwell Park.

Nampa Christian will play Declo in the semifinals on Friday. Bear Lake plays Firth in the consolation bracket.
