Decision to be made Tuesday, Feb. 18

The city of Pocatello held a meeting for the mosque proposed in Pocatello Thursday evening.

Many voiced their opinions for the mosque, saying all religions deserve a place to worship. Members of the Portneuf Valley Interfaith group also said Pocatello is known for religious diversity, and this mosque would be a great addition to the community.

Others also voiced their opinions against the mosque, reading quotes from the Bible and the Quran, citing websites and saying the Islamic religion is violent and oppressive to women.

The decision for the proposed mosque will be made Tuesday, and there will be ten days to appeal the decision.
