Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Sour’ debuts at the top of the chart

Olivia Rodrigo‘s debut album “Sour” is No. 1.

The 18-year-old only recently stepped onto the music scene, and not only did her recent single, “Good 4 U,” skyrocket to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but now her album is No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Rodrigo posted to Instagram: “thank u to everyone who listened to SOUR. this has truly been the coolest week of my life. so so so grateful.”

“Good 4 U,” cowritten by Dan Nigro and Alexander 23, was the second top hit for Rodrigo. The first was “Drivers License,” which was also written with Nigro and had the biggest first week on Spotify, got certified triple platinum and hit No. 1 in Spain, the UK, Australia and elsewhere.

Rodrigo is best known for her roles as Paige Olvera in the Disney series, “Bizaardvark,” and as Nina Salazar-Roberts in Disney’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.”
