Woman arrested in stabbing

An Idaho Falls woman was arrested after police said she stabbed another woman with a steak knife.

The 20-year-old victim told Idaho Falls police that she and Talis L. Tunteri, 29, got into an argument that turned physical Friday afternoon on the 200 block of Gladstone. Tunteri allegedly grabbed and steak knife and stabbed the other woman.

The victim’s stab wounds were minor, police said Monday.

Tunteri was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery.

Police also arrested Ryan N. Smith, 26, on a felony charge of battery on an officer. Police said Smith caused a disturbance during the investigation. As he was being placed under arrest, Smith allegedly became uncooperative and kicked and officer.

Both were booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
