Ross Park Aquatic Complex opening May 24
For the first time in several years, the Ross Park Aquatic Complex in Pocatello will be opening on Memorial Day weekend with no signs of closing early because of imminent weather.
But there are some things to remember before you grab your swimming gear and head to the pool. First, make sure your toddlers and infants who are wearing a swim diaper also wear plastic pants over them, helping to keep the pools mess-free.
Also, no flotation devices using air are permitted, but U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets and puddle jumpers are allowed. The complex manager said knowing the basic rules is the best way to ensure everyone can have fun at the pools.
“If you’re in question of whether you should do something, you should ask a lifeguard,” said Stacie VanKirk, complex manager. “We’ve got an adequate lifeguard staff that’s been well-trained this year and we’re looking forward to a great summer.”
The Ross Park Aquatic Complex is opening its doors at noon on Saturday, May 24. Find hours and more information on the Ross Park Facebook page:on.fb.me/1oe5XY2.
