Motorcyclist arrested after high-speed chase
Bonneville County deputies said a motorcyclist led them on a high-speed chase.
The sheriff’s office said around 6 p.m., a deputy tried to stop the motorcyclist for speeding on 49th North. Cody Williams, 35, of Bonneville County, took off, not stopping at stop signs and going more than 90 mph, the sheriff’s office said Tuesday.
The deputy stopped chasing Williams. Another deputy saw the motorcycle turn onto a dead-end road.
Deputies found the motorcycle and searched the property. They discovered Williams hiding under some wood. They found two plastic bags containing about 23 grams of methamphantime.
A motorcycle that had been stolen out of Idaho Falls was also found on the property.
Williams had a city warrant for eluding.
He was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, felony eluding, possession of stolen property and obstructing. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
