Two in custody after all-night standoff

A man was arrested after an all-night standoff in Pocatello.

Police said around 9 p.m. Sunday, they got a call about a woman being held hostage and weapons being fired at a trailer at 450 W. Griffith. When officers arrived, they heard the sound of a weapon being fired in the trailer.

Officers contacted people inside and were able to get some of them to leave. They got a search warrant and forced their way into the home shortly before 6 a.m. Monday.

They arrested Tyrell Dixie on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm at a dwelling, grand theft by possession of a stolen firearm and possession of methamphetamine.

He was taken to the Bannock County Jail, where he was held without bond.
