Chris Bruin

Chris Bruin grew up in sunny South Florida and attended Florida State University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in meteorology. He was the meteorologist intern at Wink News in Fort Myers, Florida, and shadowed the chief meteorologist at NBC2, also in Fort Myers.

Chris grew a lot throughout college by getting involved in Christian ministries, teaching Sunday School and doing the weather on 4FSU in Tallahassee.

Growing up in Florida, he spent his spare time at the beach, and doing everything outdoors, from swimming to snorkeling and hiking in the Everglades. After moving to Idaho, he has already fallen in love with the scenery and the hometown community. Being an outdoor- and adventure-seeker, he is excited about all the opportunities that eastern Idaho and western Wyoming has to offer.

“I am blessed to be given this opportunity and am looking forward to being the morning and noon meteorologist for Local News 8!” says Chris.
