Idaho Falls Airport passengers need to be 2 hours early
When you’re flying out of Idaho Falls, you need to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your scheduled departure, or you you may miss your flight, the city announced Thursday.
The airlines in the Idaho Falls Regional Airport have changed their rules and close their ticket counters 45 minutes before departure. Passengers are required to get through the security screening, which can be unpredictable, and be at the boarding gate at least a half-hour before departure.
“Our airport is still viewed by many as a smaller airport, and some passengers have the perception that arriving early is not necessary. That is just not the case anymore,” said IFRA Director Craig Davis. “We are growing, and, unfortunately, if passengers show up late and try to check in less than 45 minutes prior to departure, they may miss their flight.”
