Tanks on a train

Over the weekend 700 soldiers from the Montana National Guard came to Idaho with their tanks to participate in a training exercise.

In total there are about 3,000 soldiers from Idaho, Oregon and Montana taking part in the exercise.

“The Idaho National Guard is having one of its subordinate units from Montana come to the Boise area and train at our exceptionally fine national training center that we got out here. So this year we got about 700 soldiers from the Montana National Guard coming down and they are carrying with them some of their M1 Abrams tanks and M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicles,” says Col. Timothy Marsano, with the Idaho National Guard.

In three weeks, the area can expect to see these tanks pass through, as the soldiers make their way back to Montana.
