Man arrested in knife incident

An Idaho Falls man was arrested Thursday night after police said he threatened another man with a knife.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Lomax around 11:30 p.m. for a call of a disturbance. The caller, a 28-year-old man, said Jonathan R. Sloan, 23, pushed him and threatened him with a knife.

The incident happened at the victim’s home. The victim left the home to report it to police.

Officers found Sloan there and arrested him on felony charges of aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance, as well as a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sloan was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
