Local IT Systems Technician
NPG of Idaho (KIFI and KIDK) is looking for a Local IT Systems Technician. This individual will be a key team member of the Information Technology team responsible for the operation, installation and maintenance of the local desktop computers in a broadcast news environment. This position will require a proven IT background with experience in troubleshooting desktop and server computer hardware, software and networking issues. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to analyze manual processes or procedures and assist in the development of automated solutions.
Other highly desired skills, but not required: TV Broadcasting knowledge of work flows involved with news and entertainment production.
NPG of Idaho is a dominant news organization that operates six (6) full-power television properties and multiple web sites. Responsibilities include the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, desktop PC’s, hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers.
The successful candidate will be required to coordinate with Broadcast Operations and provide support for broadcast specific mission critical IT infrastructure; ensure network (operating systems, LAN/WAN/VPN) security access and protect against unauthorized access, modification or destruction; carry out other responsibilities as directed by IT Director and Senior Management. This position will require occasional travel to our Pocatello office.
