High-speed chase ends in Bannock County

The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office said a man driving a suspected stolen vehicle led the agency, Idaho State Police and the Pocatello Police Department on a high-speed chase.

The pursuit started in Pocatello and ended in Bannock County around 4 a.m. Saturday. Bannock County Sheriff Lorin Nielsen said the county set up spike strips on Interstate 15 near the US 30 turnoff. Nielsen said after the strips were placed the man lost control of his vehicle and it rolled. He was life-flighted to Portneuf Medical Center in stable condition. The man’s name was not immediately released.
