Shelley School District Service Center was vandalized
Sunday night, the Shelley School District Service Center was broken into.
“These rooms were completely remodeled. Basically brand-new carpet, paint, lights windows, air conditioning, everything. We invested probably $25,000 per room to make these to the condition they were in,” says Dr. Bryan Jolley, superintendent.
The vandals took protein drinks and spray paint and scattered it on the walls, fluorescent lights were broken throughout the hallway, and fire extinguisher foam was sprayed all over.
“We are assuming they are from Shelley; we do not know that. That is the biggest disappointment to think that someone (who) should have pride in their community and their school would resort to destroying something with no monetary value to them or anyone else but just to come in,” says Jolley.
Police have suspects, but no arrests have been made. The Shelley School District is offering $500 for any information that leads to an arrest.
