Gas prices go down nationally, but not in Idaho

Nation wide gas prices are decreasing, but not for Idaho.

The national average is $3.44 but Idaho is up 33 cents at $3.77.

“It probably has something to do with the whole sale prices that retailers are paying for their gasoline; that could mean that there is not enough gasoline in the system, it could suggest that there are issues with getting product here, but frankly we do not know,” says Dave Carlson, AAA director of government and public affairs.

The increase in gas prices is not heavily impacting Idahoans travel plans for the Labor Day weekend. Normally around this time of year there is a decrease in gas prices, says Carlson.
