Boy hospitalized after riding on hood of car
A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was run over by a car around 7:40 p.m. Monday.
He was riding on the hood of a 1991 Toyota Camry driven by a 16-year-old Idaho Falls boy in a parking lot in the 1100 block of Azalea Drive. When the car slowed down, the 14-year-old either jumped or fell off the hood in front of the car. The car ran over him.
Police said the boy was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for treatment of an apparent broken collar bone and lacerations.
Idaho Falls Police said a 16-year-old was cited for reckless driving.
