Animal adoption event kicks off Saturday
One of the biggest animal adoption events in Idaho Falls kicks off Saturday. Organizers said more than 100 animals will be up for adoption.
The event is called the PetSmart Parking Lot Adoption Party. You can adopt animals, mingle with special guests like the Skyline Animal Hospital and bring a pet food donation to get a hot dog and drink for free. All of the money raised will benefit local adoption agencies.
“It is a way for the whole community to support adoption agencies in the area. If you don’t feel like you can adopt the animal then donate to the food bank or make donations to us to help give to those societies,” said Joni Hinckley, PetSmart employee.
The event goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on South Hitt Road. Skyline Animal Hospital and PetSmart hope the event will become a yearly tradition.
