Credit union pieces together Rexburg facility

Mountain American Credit Union has parented with Sterling ATM to develop a modular branch to provide temporary service to Rexburg members. Tuesday, the credit union hoisted and pieced together four modular pieces, each weighing 16,500 pounds.

“Our circumstance here is interesting because we have a piece of land down the street, but we need to do some demolition. It’s going to take us about a year to demo that site and build a new facility,” said Mountain America Credit Union Executive Vice President Marshall Paepke. “This allows us to come to the market and serve the local population over the next year while we’re building the facility.”

Paepke said the modular facility would be reused as the credit union expands its building efforts throughout the state.
