New Museum of Idaho exhibit promises to enlighten
The Museum of Idaho will have a bright new exhibit this week.
“Glow: Living Lights” is all about bioluminescence, which is what allows creatures to produce light.
Organizers said the exhibit is great for families because it’s interactive and meant to get kids thinking.
“Most of us have encountered fireflies, but yet never really thought about what makes them tick,” said Rod Hansen of the museum.
The exhibit explains the science behind bioluminescence in a way that’s easy to understand. Some of the topics explained are the reasons organisms make light and what makes them glow.
“Glow” opens Friday and runs through the end of November. For more information, go to http://www.museumofidaho.org.
