City to award connector construction project to low bidder

On Thursday night, the Pocatello City Council will meet to award the Cheyenne Connector construction project to the lowest bidder, which could be an Orem-based company called W.W. Clyde.

The company is asking for just over $13 million, which could save the city money on this much-needed project.

Idaho Transportation Department’s project engineer Scott Redding said the connector is expected to be officially open by December 2015.

The public is invited to attend the meeting which starts at six o’clock, but project discussions will take place further down on the agenda.
