Idaho State Volleyball Clinches Big Sky Regular Season

Another night and another win for the Idaho State Volleyball team as the Bengals clinched the Big Sky regular season championship with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22 and 25-18) sweep of Sacramento State, Saturday at the ICCU Court inside Reed Gym.

This is the first time since 1990 the Bengals will finish with the best record in the regular season.

“It is definitely one of our goals,” Head Coach said. “None of these girls were alive the last time it happened so it’s a pretty big deal.”

“Ever since my freshman year we have had the goal of winning the regular season,” said. “It feels good to finally get it.”

The win marks the ninth-straight victory and 16 in their last 17 matches. It is their 11th 3-0 sweep this year.

“One of the things that is really special about our team is we have so many different players that are crucial,” Bartschi-Harrington said. “If someone has an off night, we have three, four or five other people that pick up the slack and have their back.”

The Bengals will be on the road next week for games at Montana and Weber State before returning to host the Big Sky Conference tournament November 20th through the 22nd. Information on how to purchase tickets to the tournament will be available next week.

ISU honored their four seniors before the game. , , and were each recognized for their accomplishments in a Bengal jersey.
