Burglary suspect arrested trying to outrun police

A Pocatello man was arrested after a short foot chase at around 12:30 Wednesday morning.

Angelo A. Fernandez, 22, was arrested after trying to outrun police at 3100 Poleline Road.

Officers were looking for a man entering cars in the area of 700 Fir, when a man on a bicycle fled from them. Police said they set up a perimeter and found Fernandez hiding inside a shed. Fernandez tried to run away, but was quickly caught by officers.

According to police, Fernandez admitted taking items from cars in the area. He was being held in the Bannock County Jail.
