Drug dealer asks for police help

Rexburg police said a man who said he was a drug dealer asked for their help Tuesday.

“(He) stated he was being followed by people from Idaho Falls to whom he sold drugs to earlier in the week in Idaho Falls,” according to the police report Thursday. “The male stated that he supposedly owed more money to a dealer for skimming drugs off the top from him.”

Police said he claimed to have a “.22 small rifle” with him for protection. He had come to the police department asking what he should do about the people following him.

Police followed him home to make sure he was safe.

After interviewing the man and finding no evidence of a crime, Rexburg police suggested he contact the Idaho Falls Police Department.

Idaho Falls police have not heard from him.

Nothing further has been released.
