SkyWest to fly daily between Pocatello and SLC

SkyWest Airlines will start daily jet flights between Salt Lake City International Airport and Pocatello Regional Airport beginning Jan. 1.

The SkyWest flights will connect passengers to Delta Airline connections in Salt Lake City. According to Greg Atkin, SkyWest Airlines’ managing director for market development, “The schedules are ideally timed for the day traveler or the road warrior, and we’re pleased to make flying in Pocatello better than ever aboard the CRJ200 regional jet.”

The 50-passenger Canadair Regional Jet 200 will replace the 30-seat turboprop the airline is currently using.

“That first flight, which is usually always full, will go from 30 seats to 50 seats,” said Kristy Heinz, airport security coordinator. “So we’re going to have increased capacity that we think will really help out our travelers and be able to get everybody where they need to go.”

Atkin said customers may begin booking flights Saturday.

Schedules are availableatwww.delta.comor by calling Delta reservations at(800) 221-1212.
