Locals are concerned about Obama’s visit to Boise

President Barack Obama will be making a stop in Boise Wednesday.

While those there are prepping for the president’s visit to Boise State, some in Idaho Falls have concerns.

“I wish he would stay away, I really do,” said Doug Smith.

“I wish he’d stay in D.C., and do some work and get something passed, lower taxes,” said Ron Stultz. “I don’t plan on going down there to see him, I don’t know who would. “

Others said it’s great the president is coming to the state. Some local lawmakers said political beliefs aside, it’s important to respect the office.

The president will talk about his State of the Union address.

Some people think he also might announce the Boulder White Clouds as a national monument.

This will be his first visit to Idaho since he became president.
