Stranger at elementary school prompts false alarm
The Jefferson School District ordered a lockdown of the Farnsworth Elementary School shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday after students reported an unknown person on the school grounds.
The Rigby Police Department said there was no evidence of an unidentified person at the school or in surrounding neighborhoods.
The person that was misidentified was actually a district employee.
School officials said they ordered the lockdown because child safety is their No. 1 priority.
