Police no longer looking for van in abduction case

Idaho Falls police said they are no longer looking for a white van in connection with kidnap and rape case.

A 14-year-old boy said he was abducted and raped Feb. 17. At the time, police said the abductor drove a white newer “boxy” type van with a sliding door. On Tuesday, police said the van is not believed to be linked to the case and is “no longer of interest” and appreciated the public’s help.

However, officers said the investigation is still active and said they still believe there was a crime.

Police are not saying how the victim escaped.
