Golfing in February?

Thanks to this year’s mild winter, many people have been hitting the links in Idaho Falls.

Pinecrest Golf Course has been open for almost two weeks. The grounds crew has had to get benches and ball washers out, but obviously no mowing or watering is necessary yet.

Tim Reinke, the golf pro, said golfing in February is unheard of at Pinecrest.

“In fact, I’ve been here 35 years and never seen it happen before,” Reinke said. “Some of the older people I know told me it’s been 60 years before they played in February, so yeah, it’s awesome.”
