Health care industry and Idaho Department of Labor team up at job fair

The Idaho Department of Labor held a health care job fair Wednesday in hopes of playing matchmaker between health care employers and employees.

Eleven companies prepared booths and had company representatives on site to accept applications, answer questions, and in some cases set up interviews.

Recruiters looked for (and are still looking for) registered and practical nurses, client relations managers, financial services office workers, housekeepers, caregivers, administrative support staff, and others.

Connie Gardner of the Department of Labor says health care is one of the fastest growing industries in Idaho. She says as our population ages, more people need medical services, meaning more workers are needed.

Although the fair ended at 2 p.m., those who couldn’t make it can still find many of the job postings on the Idaho Department of Labor’s website.
