High winds lead to power outages

High winds knocked out power for thousands of customers in Franklin County Tuesday.

Crews from Rocky Mountain Power worked through the afternoon to fix the lines and restore power.

At one point, over 2,400 homes were without power in Preston, Clifton, Swan Lake, Dayton and Weston.

As of 10:30 p.m., power was still out for about 1,200 homes. Rocky Mountain said power should be fully restored sometime after 11 p.m.

You can check for outages on Rocky Mountain Power’s website.
