Rexburg council decides to allow Sunday alcohol sales
The Rexburg City Council approved an ordinance Wednesday night to allow Sunday beer and wine sales.
City leaders said they think this will be a good thing, as more restaurants would likely open up in Rexburg. One councilman said it’s the right thing to do.
“Although I’m not an alcohol consumer, I think it’s our responsibility to allow people to make their own decisions, and I don’t think it’s our place to say you can or can’t do something that is legally OK to do,” said Brad Wolfe before the ordinance passed, adding that the majority of people he talked to were in favor of the change.
